    A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Matthew R. Harrison began the practice of law in 2009, after receiving his Juris Doctorate from Cumberland School of Law in 2009.  He earned his undergraduate degree from Samford University where he served as President of the Student Government Association and was a member of Omicron Delta Kappa.

    Matt represents lenders, developers, builders, investors, entities, and individuals in the acquisition, construction, leasing, and conveyance of residential and commercial property in local and multi-state transactions.  He is a licensed title agent in the State of Alabama for Chicago Title Insurance Company, Commonwealth Land Title, Stewart Title and Guaranty, and Fidelity.  A large part of Matt’s practice focuses on closing commercial and residential transactions.

    In addition to transactional work, Matt represents businesses in their organization and operation.  He also has an active estate practice, counseling clients in all aspects of estate planning as well as the administration of estates and related matters in the Probate Court.  Additionally, Matt actively represents numerous Homeowners Associations throughout North Alabama in formation and compliance.

    Over the course of his practice, Matt has had opportunities to speak on topics related to real estate transactions, real estate law, title insurance matters, and the leasing of real property.  Matt has served as Secretary of the Huntsville Madison County Bar Association as well as Co-Chairman of the Real Estate Section of the local bar.

    Matt and his wife, Suzie, have two sons and a daughter and reside in Huntsville, Alabama.  Matt and Suzie are active members of Cornerstone Presbyterian Church where Matt serves as a Deacon.  Matt spends his free time with his family, coaching little league baseball and fishing.
